What the course covers:
  • The course is an introduction to the fundamentals of Hatha yoga moving towards a flow based vinyasa practice. This is one the most popular forms of yoga from which many styles have emerged from over the years.
Included in this are:
  • Asana – postures in yoga and their main families (standing poses, balance poses, backbends, twists, forward bends, hip openers, inversions). Also simple breathing techniques, the sun salutations, relaxation and a clear introduction to Yogic Philosophy and the Energy Body.
Who it is suitable for:
  • Suitable for complete beginners and people that haven't practiced for a few years and would like a slower practice.

Facilities and what to wear

Please note that the hall has a wooden floor and a yoga mat or thick blanket are necessary. The yoga classes are held in the main hall. You need to wear comfortable clothing and a yoga mat or towel to lie on; Appleyoga has yoga mats for sale.

There are toilets and changing rooms available.
