What the course covers:
  • This course is a deeper introduction to Vinyasa yoga, an evolving form of traditional Hatha yoga that focuses on integrating breath and movement, awareness and alignment, strength and flexibility, your practice with your daily life. Likened to a dynamic dance, asana or postures are connected through the breath for a transforming and balancing effect.
Included in this are:
  •  Yoga flow - the integration of breath and movement for a fluid practice, Yogic breathing techniques, various flows of the sun salutation and an introduction to the dancing warrior series 1, 2, 3 and 4, progressing and widening the knowledge of the asanas and relaxation.
Who it is suitable for:
  • Suitable for those who have done “a” beginners course in yoga and who are familiar with the contents covered in the beginner’s course above. Also those people who have done yoga continually for a three month period but are now out of practise.

Facilities and what to wear

Please note that the hall has a wooden floor and a yoga mat or thick blanket are necessary. The yoga classes are held in the main hall. You need to wear comfortable clothing and a yoga mat or towel to lie on; Appleyoga has yoga mats for sale.

There are toilets and changing rooms available.
