During a sabbatical year from my work as a political and social researcher my yoga teacher suggested I take the teacher training course at the Sivananda ashram in India. Since then there’s been no going back. I spent the year after that travelling, teaching free classes to anyone who was willing to be taught on beaches, or wherever I happened to be.
That was in 1999 and I’ve been teaching bustling classes in London ever since.
I’ve also trained in vinyasa flow yoga with Shiva Rea, and ashtanga with Manju Jois and with the British Wheel of Yoga as well as with Yogabugs and Birthlight. I continue to learn from my students in every single class.
I’ve recently studied for a Thai Yoga massage diploma which compliments yoga beautifully.
As well as teaching pregnancy and adult yoga classes I have great fun teaching children’s yoga.
