Camille Litalien Print E-mail
Camille LitalienMy approach to Hatha Yoga is that of a very expressive and creative practice, emphasizing the importance of listening to the flowing qualities of the breath.

Primarily influenced by Vinyasa Flow Yoga masters, my practice has also developed around somatic and bodily practices such as Pilates, Gyrotonic and most importantly Contemporary Dance Techniques.

I trained as a dancer with such pioneers as Pearl Lang at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance and Louise Burns at the Cunningham Studios in New York and I then pursued a professional career as a performer and choreographer (Royal Opera Ballet, Young Vic Theatre Company, Indian Runner Production, etc.). Alongside this artistic career, and to balance both the extreme physical and emotional demands it required, I started practicing yoga some 15 years ago. All of this now informs how I specifically design a practice that enhances both the creative and physical potential of my students.

Based in London, I teach at the Central School of Speech and Drama and at Teach Yoga (Registered Yoga Teacher Training School), alongside pursuing an ongoing study of different yoga traditions and new developments.

I have an MA in choreographic studies and am a qualified yoga teacher and my new experience as a mum is a main source of inspiration to my Yoga!
