Eco apple
Yoga and the environmentWell don't know about you but the apple crew are feeling a little fired up about this beautiful planet called Earth and all the magical things in existence - which includes you! ... we have all marvelled at Planet Earth right?! We salute you Sir David Attenborough!

So we thought we'd start up "eco apple" - a page dedicated to cool ideas by cool people on how we can treat this world we live in with a little more thought, grace and care... and this is where you come in coz the cool ideas from cool people is YOU!

We've all heard the facts and read the information but how many of us actually see it through and put their thoughts into action? ... so how about we inspire each other to be more diligent and a little more selfless about the way we live? ... it feels GOOD to be positive and proactive and a whole lot more effective if we do it together!

Did you know?
  • Water that has been used for boiling eggs is full of calcium, which is magic for plants - so pour it on and make them strong!
  • Every time you recycle a pile of papers a metre high, you save a tree from the chop.
  • Turning your computer screen off when not being used, rather than leaving it on screensaver, will save precious amounts of power.
But enough from us - if you have any inspirational tips to share then we would LOVE to hear them. It can often seem like a mountain too high to climb and hearing positive ways of how we can make a difference can be all that it takes to get the ball rolling. So come on eco warriors, let's do out bit to help save this crazy, brilliant and magical planet.

When you go grocery shopping use a canvas bag that can be used over and over again instead of using the free plastic/paper bags on offer at the counter.

Reuse plastic bags, and store them in an old plastic bottle - chop both ends off the bottle and pull them out of the spout end when you need them!

Ensure you inspect the energy requirements of any new appliance you buy - efficient, modern fridges, freezers and dishwashers etc are much better than old ones!

Wash your clothes on the lowest setting you can get away with, and try it with less detergent - you'll be amazed how little is actually needed!
