Main body of study (approx 100 hrs of course)

• understanding sankalpa - setting a intention - understanding emboding the flow - use of body prayer
• learning applepods:lying, all fours, sun salute preps, sun salutes standing, floor, inversions & closing sequences
• sequences postures, vinyasa krama, peak pose - wave theory - using this to teach multi levels
• application of appleyoga's teaching layers
• class plans - teaching beginners up - shaping your flow to suit students

• functional anatomy
• learning anatomy through Yamuna's body rolling
Yoga and Energy (approx 11hrs)
• energtic anatomy - the energtic body
• chakra system & nadis
• vayus
• koshas
• gunas
Philosophy (approx 11hrs)
• philosophy
• the origins of yoga
• brief & clear outline of the 4 key yogic texts - Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, Yoga Sutras, Hatha Yoga Pradipika
• Radiant sutras - Lorin Roche's version
• Patanjalis yoga sutras
• 4 main paths in yoga - bhakti, raja, karma, jnana
Pranayama (approx 8hrs)
• pranayama & bandas
• importance of breath
• breath techniques - 3 part, full, uijai, kapala bhati, alternate breath with and without retention

• mapping out the energetic framework within each technique
