The location

Palazzo Radomiri is ideally located on the seafront of Boka Kotorska bay in a little place called Dobrota, within walking distance to the medieval city of Kotor, and a short drive to many fascinating sites of Montenegro by car or by a boat along the coast.

At only 4 kilometres away from the ancient walls of Kotor, the hotel is set far enough away from the buzz and bustle of the city life to feel like a retreat, but still close to the action of surrounding towns.

Dobrota, which translates to English as Goodness, has been always known as a wealthy suburban part of Kotor, stretching along the waterfront of this breathtaking bay where local nobility and famous captains used to build their family homes since many centuries ago. A promenade along the seashore, beside numerous little stone jetties and old palaces, might intrigue a passer-by to reveal a story about people who once lived behind beautifully aged facades.

Amazing unpolluted sea air, unusual scenery and long waterfront is perfect for walking, running, rollerblading and cycling. Since the bay is surrounded by mountains, hiking is also very popular, especially on the Kotor Fortress. And with Croatian jewel Dubrovnik only an hour away by car, Hotel Palazzo Radomiri has an excellent position to explore not only Montenegro, but surrounding regions as well.

Hotel Palazzo Radomiri rose up on the remains of a noble ship owners' family house, a home that gave so many brave captains. The centuries and many foreign rules have worn out the walls of this family residence and lastly great earthquake of 1979 has devastated the complex. Only walls have remained, representing weak memory of the past glory. Many years later, another family has spotted the uniqueness of the area and the building.

Guided by Gavrilo Urosevic, an architect and a true visionary, with his daughter Anna, a designer and an entrepreneur who were not afraid of the challenge to resurrect the beauty of something no one though feasible or just possible of doing at the time. The whole family has joined in the task of restoring the ruins and rebuilding the villa to create an intimate boutique hotel, so this historic creation and a brave vision can be shared and not forgotten. Every single stone, every single detail was brought to life by dedication and perseverance, in order for this elegant palazzo to be enjoyed in full splendour.

The main waterfront building of palazzo complex was built in the beginning of the 1700s by a captain Marko Tomov Radimir, during the time when Kotor and its surroundings were a part of Venice Republic (1420-1797). The influence of Italian architecture is evident. Especially prominent feature is the balcony on the main façade and is one of the most beautiful in Boka. Three atlantes supporting the balcony were created by the same artist (unknown) who crafted altar on the Gospa od Skrpjela Island (Madonna dello Scarpello) opposite Perast. Today, this place is included in a statuary list of buildings of special architectural or historic interest.

Apart from the front structure, hotel is comprised of another 2 buildings with restaurant and gym; seafront garden, pier for boats to moor and for guests to relax, parking, and courtyard terraces, one of which has a swimming pool. The complex is stretching from the sea to the main road with mountains that surround the bay as an integral part of the landscape.

Yoga space
The classes will be held outside over looking Boka Bay and inside the courtyard if the weather allows, this should be the case in June, however there is an indoor space that can be used should we need it. The area is peacefully quiet; the view of the bay offers quietude and great inspiration for yoga practice.
